Children have been dressing up for Halloween for centuries, and Teesside kids are no exception. Every October 31, children put on their spookiest costumes and get together with friends and family for some ghoulish fun.
Whether it’s a party with Halloween-themed food, drink and games, or an evening trick or treating in their neighbourhood, kids will dress up in whatever creepy costume they fancy. Over the last few decades, witches, zombies and ghosts have been popular choices.
Sometimes children even have a go at making their own costumes with the help of their parents, and these creations are often even better than shop-bought outfits. Teesside Live has delved through the Mirrorpix archive and unearthed some brilliant photos of children dressed up for Halloween in the 1970s, 80s and 90
