CLEVELAND — With uncertainty looming over the future of SNAP benefits, the Greater Cleveland Food Bank is seeing a surge in families seeking help to put food on the table .

Just days before a potential cutoff of SNAP benefits on Nov. 1, the parking lot of the food bank's community resource center on South Waterloo Road was packed with people stocking up on groceries. Several signs posted on the doors read that the market had reached capacity for the day — a stark reminder of the growing need.
