WA is in for yet another wet weekend, with strong wind warnings put in place and thunderstorms anticipated to slam parts of the State.
Showers will hit WA’s metropolitan area and South West from Friday afternoon, with more than 5mm of rainfall forecast to pour down across the city throughout the night.
The majority of the weekend’s rainfall is expected to slam the metropolitan area between 5pm on Friday and 2am on Saturday.
Bureau meteorologist Jessica Lingard told PerthNow that Friday evening’s showers will predominantly impact those living south of the river.
“The front will be coming from the south so on Friday the showers will mainly affect those living in the State’s South West and Perth’s south,” she said.
“Showers will reach Perth’s northern suburbs, but this will be later on
