BELFAST, Maine (WABI) - U.S. Senate candidate Jordan Wood held a townhall in Belfast Thursday night.

He answered questions about what his agenda would be and how he is different from the candidates he is running against.

Wood is currently locked in a democratic primary battle with notable candidates Graham Platner and Governor Janet Mills.

Although he is trailing by a significant margin, he emphasized that it’s still early in the race.

Wood believes he is best fit to serve due to his experience in young voters’ shoes.

“I got into this race because the affordability crisis my family dealt with in the nineties. I know the affordability crisis, and I know that it has gone unaddressed for the thirty years that Susan Collins has been our senator,” he said.
