The Battle Creek Symphony will present Candlelight Serenade at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Pennfield Performing Arts Center.
The concert will feature guest artists Rafael Aguirre and Nickolas Kaynor, according to a community announcement.
Aguirre is an internationally acclaimed guitarist who has won 13 first prizes in competitions, including the Tárrega Competition and Pro Music in New York. He has performed in 47 countries and received the National Award Cultura Viva in Madrid.
In the 2024-25 season, Aguirre will tour the U.S. with the San José Symphony, debut in Colombia at the Cartagena Festival and perform at the Casals Festival in Puerto Rico. He has appeared at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Verbier Festival, Vienna Konzerthaus and Seoul Arts Center.
