Bhubaneswar: The Election Commission has suspended an Odisha Information Service (OIS) Officer, Tanuja Mohanty, for allegedly violating the Model Code of Conduct enforced for the high-stakes by-election to the Nuapada Assembly constituency.
“In pursuance of clause (a) of sub-rule (1) of Rule 12 of the Orissa Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1962, pending drawal of disciplinary proceeding. Smt. Tanuja Mohanty, OIS-II is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect on the ground of violation of enforced Model Code of Conduct for Bye- Election -2025 to 71-Nuapada Assembly Constituency”, read the notification.
