AUSTIN, Texas — A driver is facing charges after five people were hit by a vehicle at a fast food restaurant early Friday near the University of Texas at Austin campus, police said.
The collision happened just before 2:30 a.m. Friday at the Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers restaurant at 415 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
Austin police said the vehicle -a Ford F-150- hit five people, four of whom were taken to a hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
The driver has been identified as 21-year-old Antonia G. Garcia Rios. He faces two counts of intoxication assault and was booked into the Travis County Jail.
