SHARON, Pa. (WKBN)- A local family is looking to give back to the community on Friday with the 'Dreams and Wonder 1920s Speakeasy' event for 'Jamie's Dream Team.'
The organization grants dreams for children and adults with life-threatening illnesses. The event was put together by 9-year-old Luke Davis and his family.
Luke has needed 24 surgeries since being diagnosed with Apert Syndrome.
"They granted Luke a wish at the beginning of the year, and it was for him to go to Disney World. We just wanted to pay it forward for the next family to be able to do what we're doing," said Luke's mother, Theresa Davis.
The event is this evening from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Corinthian in Sharon. There will be a cash bar, games, and raffles, along with other activities. Tickets are $35.
