A bride has been left devastated after her new husband died during their first dance while wedding guests watched in horror.
The reception, held on Thursday night in Aswan Governorate, southern Egypt, had been a night of celebration, with the couple’s friends and family enjoying the party.
Video captured Ashraf Abu Hakam enjoying the dance with his wife, holding her hand and a Saidi stick, traditionally used by men in upper Egypt for the martial art and folk dance known as Tahtib.
Tragedy struck without warning when Mr Hakam suddenly fell to the ground.
Footage shows him laying flat on his back, as guests, including young children, begin to realise what has happened and rush to help him
Despite multiple attempts, Mr Hakam was unable to be revived, and doctors later confirmed he died f
