Some are feigning confusion about why more than 7 million Americans joined the No Kings protests Oct. 18. There's nothing confusing here — we showed up because we still believe in a government that serves people, not the whims of one quite human, very fallible man.
The Cuyahoga Falls No Kings looked exactly like the country we’re trying to protect — squirmy kids in red wagons, dogs in Uncle Sam costumes, a band on the corner and neighbors sharing extra signs. It felt like a celebration of decency — a reminder that America still knows how to be kind, hopeful and alive. Generations of people danced and laughed together, breathing fresh life into our precious, gasping American soul.
