Iwas still trying to figure out what the heck they were doing at CBS News when they hired opinion writer Bari Weiss to run the shop there, and then I read in Semafor that she recently met in the network’s New York offices with Scott Jennings.

Weiss isn’t saying what she and Jennings, the Mitch McConnell acolyte-turned-Donald Trump apologist, talked about but there's some speculation it has to do with John Dickerson’s exit as a co-anchor of the CBS Evening News.
