TIPPECANOE, Ind. (WNDU) - One person is dead after a crash between a 2023 Audi SQ5 and a semi-truck, on I-65.

Preliminary investigation shows that the Audi was heading southbound on I-65, when it got rear-ended by a semi-truck.

Initial finding suggest that the Audi was either stopped or slowed in the roadway when the crash occurred, which both vehicles went off the west side of the roadway down an embankment, after impact.

Lifesaving efforts were attempted, but the driver of the Audi was pronounced dead by the Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office at the scene.

The identity of the deceased Audi driver will be released by the coroner’s office, after proper identification and notifications have been made.

The driver of the semi-truck sustained minor injuries.
