ALLEGANY COUNTY, N.Y. — An Olean man has been arrested after allegedly shooting a house that had children inside.

According to New York State Police, Robert J. Deahn, has been charged with one count of Menacing in the 2nd Degree, one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree, three counts of Reckless Endangerment in the 1st Degree, and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Troopers say on Thursday, October 30, around 4:15 a.m., Deahn arrived at a home in the village of Belmont, unexpectedly, and allegedly brandished a knife to one of the victims before leaving.

Troopers say he later returned to the home and fired a single round from a gun at the home from the front yard. The home was occupied by multiple victims, including two children.
