Step aside Paris robbers, the Louvre has been beaten in the heist stakes. A museum in California has been looted, with more than 1,000 items stolen. ‌

In the early hours of October 15, a burglary took place at an off-site storage facility belonging to the Oakland Museum of California, according to a statement released by Oakland Police on Wednesday (October 29).
