A homeless man who murdered a woman after she kindly offered him a place to stay in her £1.3 million home has been jailed for life. ‌

Apapale Adoum, 39, killed 37-year-old Victoria Adams with a mallet inside her flat in Hammersmith, west London, on February 9. In August, Adoum appeared at the Old Bailey where he pleaded guilty to murder and was remanded in custody. ‌

At his sentencing today, Judge Nigel Lickley KC handed Adoum a life sentence with a minimum term of 21 years, reports the Mirror. The judge told him: “Victoria Adams was murdered in her own home. She had taken you in and offered you shelter.” ‌

Judge Lickley said Adoum had “betrayed the kindness and good nature of Victoria Adams,” arming himself with a hammer before launching a “brutal and savage”
