Newport is making its debut as a Hallmark movie worthy Christmas destination with its own Hallmark movie.

The new movie, "A Newport Christmas," will air on Nov. 2, 2025, as part of the channel's "Countdown to Christmas."

The movie will showcase Newport's history and beauty in a holiday time travel romance, marking the very first Hallmark holiday film to be set in the seaside Rhode Island town. In fact, "A Newport Christmas" is the first time a Hallmark holiday movie has been set in Rhode Island since "A Season for Miracles" in 1999.
