Philadelphia police are investigating after a man was injured early Friday morning when gunfire struck his car as he slept inside.

According to police, the incident happened around 4:30 a.m. on Friday, October 31, 2025, on the 6600 block of Ditman Street in Tacony.

Police said the man was sleeping inside the vehicle when it was suddenly struck by gunfire.

At this time, police said investigators are trying to figure out if the man was grazed by a bullet or cut by glass during the incident because he was bleeding from the back of his head.

The man was rushed to the hospital and he was placed in stable condition, police said.

Police said investigators do not have a suspect in custody or any known motive
