DENVER (KDVR) — A Florida barbecue chain is closing its only location in Colorado after 21 years in Centennial.
Bono's Bar-B-Q is commonly known around Jacksonville, Florida, with nearly 20 locations around the area. The restaurant has been serving up pit BBQ since 1949, and in 2004, it came to Colorado and opened up a spot in Centennial.
The chain was open in Centennial for more than 20 years, but on Saturday, the only Bono's Bar-B-Q in Colorado is closing for good.
On Sunday, the Centennial restaurant announced that it would be closing on Saturday, Nov. 1. The owners, Alex and Jessie Liesegang, told FOX31 that they owned the building and land, and they're going from the restaurant operators to the landlord after the "investment has matured" and it's time for them to relax.
