CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - North Charleston Police say a man is facing charges in connection with a shooting last month at a motel.

Theadore Robert Nelson, 42, is charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to jail records.

Police responded to a reported shooting at the Charleston Heights Motel on Sept. 20 at around 10 p.m. Investigators say a man, whom they identified as Nelson, allegedly pushed open a plexiglass window, aimed and fired a shot.

“The bullet missed the intended victim but traveled through a wall, damaging three motel rooms,” police said in a release. “No one was injured.”

Authorites took Nelson into custody in Tulsa, Oklahoma and he was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center early Friday morning, jail records state.
