ST. JOHNS, Mich. (WILX) — It all began in the backyard for the Pratl brothers.
“Every single day we were outside playing basketball or playing football, it was just always something that we would do,” said Bryce Pratl.
Years later, they still share the field for St. Johns. Senior Bryce plays cornerback while sophomore Brody plays middle linebacker.
“They rely on each other, they rely on everybody else. But I imagine it’s a pretty special bond for them growing up and being on the same side of the ball,” said Redwings’ head coach Andy Schmitt.
Bryce was voted a team captain ahead of this season.
“Bryce is an ultimate team guy. You know, I have a heck of a lot of respect for him as an individual and as a football player,” Schmitt said.
