Kim Soo-Hyun has filed six to seven criminal cases against Garosero Research Institute and Kim Sae-Ron's family after they alleged that he was indirectly responsible for her untimely demise in February 2025. They alleged that his company pressurized her to repay the loan of 700 million Korean won. They also said that he dated her when she was a minor. Kim Soo-Hyun's agency stated that they had written off the loan. Kim Soo-Hyun admitted that they did date but when she had turned 19, and not before that. What was surprising was that no member from her family, or the aunt who made the claims in the first place came forward before the media.
