CHARLEVOIX – Cheboygan volleyball has seen a couple players hit milestones this season .
On Thursday, Oct. 30, the Chiefs saw one more standout earn an impressive achievement, as sophomore Diem Schley reached 500 career kills during a quad match at Charlevoix.
“It was an amazing accomplishment, and she has been working to get there each game,” Cheboygan coach Jordan Barrette said of Schley. “I’m very proud of her and excited to see her continue to reach her goals. Reaching 500 (kills) as a sophomore is a great accomplishment.”
Schley finished with 24 kills, 11 digs and three blocks for the Chiefs (28-6-3), who earned wins over Charlevoix (25-19, 25-21), Sault Ste. Marie (25-18, 25-22) and Inland Lakes (20-25, 25-21, 15-9).
