Demi Lovato is an early frontrunner for the best celebrity Halloween costume after recreating a viral meme of her fictional twin.

It’s always a nice surprise when a celeb is aware of any internet lore surrounding them and can actually laugh about it (see also: Paul Mescal acknowledging how he apparently runs away from his dates ).

So, when Demi revealed she’d dressed as “Poot Lovato” with full commitment to the bit, people rightly got very excited.

For those not chronically online, the legend of Poot was born in 2015 when someone uploaded an edited version of an overexposed photograph of Demi to Tumblr along with the caption: “Demi’s twin sister. She was locked in a basement her whole life. This picture was taken the first time she went outside. Her name is Poot.”
