FRUITLAND, Idaho (CBS2) — According to a Payette County Prosecutor news release, suspects are being charged with the disappearance and murder of Michael Vaughan.

Vaughan was just five years old when he disappeared around his home on July 27th, 2021, sparking a massive search.

In late 2022, police began digging in the backyard of a residence blocks from Michael Vaughan’s home in Fruitland that belonged to Stacy and Sarah Wondra. Stacy, along with his wife, Sarah, was considered a suspect in Michael’s disappearance two years ago when Fruitland Police searched their backyard for Michael’s remains.
