A 47-year-old Belleville man is to appear in court in December on an assault charge after a reported dispute Thursday between neighbours in the city’s north end.

Police responded at 9:38 p.m. to the report. A police news release stated officers spoke with a man who described ongoing issues with his neighbour and said an argument had led to a man punching the complainant in the face.

Officers were able to identify the suspect after viewing video footage of the incident. They soon arrested a man, later releasing him pending his court appearance, the date of which was not released.
