A Wilmerding teenager is charged as an adult with two counts of homicide in connection with the fatal shooting of two 16-year-old boys in Pitcairn earlier this year.
Investigators had linked 15-year-old Jamon Brookins to the June 26 shooting within hours, according to the criminal complaint filed.
The shooting happened about 3 p.m. in Shaw Alley, just a few blocks off Wall Avenue, police said. Two teens were shot and later pronounced dead at Forbes Hospital: Tyrant Sutton and Isiah McCarthy, both 16.
Witnesses and surveillance footage from the area indicated a silver Lexus sedan took off from the area just after the shooting, according to the complaint. Investigators linked to an address in East Pittsburgh eventually encountered Jamon leaving the home.
