New Delhi: Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena is set to host the UEFA Champions League (UCL) final in 2028, while Wembley Stadium and Barcelona’s Camp Nou are competing for staging the 2029 final of the tournament.
UEFA confirmed the list of interested bidders from among its member associations, suggesting that the UCL final in New York will not happen until at least 2030.
Munich was the sole bidder for the 2028 final, and it also hosted the last season’s final, while Wembley staged the final in 2024. Barcelona last hosted the UCL final in 1999, when Manchester United stunned Bayern Munich with two goals in stoppage time.
After the schedule renovation, Camp Nou’s capacity will increase to 105,000, which is the largest in Europe. The UEFA executive committee is set to decide on hosts for all
