GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — Guilford County is launching a new plan to help residents impacted by the pause in SNAP benefits.

In a county meeting, Guilford County Chairman, Skip Alston and other Guilford County leaders introduced the 'OneGuilford Supporting our Pantries Plan.'

According to Alston, the goal is to fill the gap left by SNAP to make sure families don't go without food and soften the blow of the over 41,000 households impacted.

The plan includes coordinating with key food security partners, data collection and analysis, community information and transparency, supporting local food assistance efforts, and resource awareness.
