The project to uncork the so-called Lemoyne Bottleneck is not expected to start until 2027.
But preliminary work has been underway for some time.
Next week crews will continue their work to locate underground utilities and to survey the area of the proposed project, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said.
The work will be done on Market Street in Lemoyne and Wormleysburg, Cumberland County, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, through Friday, Nov. 7, from North Third Street to Front Street, weather permitting.
PennDOT said there may be lane closures, as needed, in both directions of Market Street during work hours.
