BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — As we prepare for Halloween holiday festivities, Red Cross is preparing to Sound the Alarm on Saturday, Nov. 8 in Taft.

Sound the Alarm is happening at the Taft Midway Lodge on 521 North Street from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

To help install free smoke alarms, you are encouraged to sign up at American Red Cross.

In addition, Red Cross is asking residents to test your smoke alarms as you turn your clocks back this weekend.
