It was a foggy morning about two years ago when Andrew Thomas jumped his neighbour's fence with his camera.
"It was a spectacular morning," he said.
"I literally climbed over the fence and I realised 'Oh, this is a pretty good one this morning', and took the picture."
At the time, he and his wife Debbie were living on a property underneath Mount Roland , where they had a great relationship with their neighbours.
The image he took, a landscape portrait of the mountain enveloped in fog and reflected in a pond of water, was selected as the May image in the 2026 Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) calendar.
Mr Thomas said it was particularly special that it was an image of Mount Roland featured.
"That's one of my biggest thrills with it, that it was - as everyone calls it - 'our mountain'," he
