Landmarks across Vermont, including the Moran Frame on Burlington's waterfront and Montpelier City Hall, will light up teal Nov. 3 to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s disease.

The initiative is part of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America’s Light the World in Teal program, according to a press release.

The annual event, held during Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, aims to shine a spotlight on the disease and show support for those affected. Teal is the color the foundation uses to promote awareness.

More than 1,500 landmarks participating

Participating Vermont landmarks include the Moran Frame, Montpelier City Hall and the splash fountain at City Hall Park in Burlington.
