U.S. President Donald Trump says Prime Minister Mark Carney has apologized for an anti-tariff advertisement that sparked addtional 10% tariffs for our country.

While speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Friday, Trump was asked what he spoke with Carney about during their Wednesday conversation in South Korea at meetings with the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation group, and whether the United States would reopen trade negotiations with Canada.

“No,” Trump said of resuming talks with Canada, while stating he has a “very good relationship” with the Canadian prime minister.

“I like him a lot,” he said. “But you know what they did was wrong. He (Carney) was very nice. He apologized for what they did with the commercial.
