GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Tourism is important to the economy of Wisconsin. When Green Bay became a port stop for Cruise the Great Lakes, it was an exciting prospect for the potential tourism dollars entering our area.
Last year, Green Bay saw two cruise ships stop during those summer months. Next year, Cruise the Great Lakes will triple the number of stops they’re making in Green Bay: six ships filled with passengers, potentially bringing in $300,000 tourism dollars.
The Port in Green Bay is unique, dropping passengers off in the middle of downtown, offering those businesses a chance to benefit financially.
