COEUR D'ALENE – Drivers should expect delays Sunday on eastbound I-90 between Post Falls and Coeur d'Alene as crews complete striping work, according to the Idaho Transportation Department.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane starting at 7 a.m., with speeds lowered to 45 mph.
"This is one of the last weather-dependent tasks we have to complete before winter," said Project Manager Tom Trutter. "We're asking drivers to plan extra time and be patient through the work zone."
ITD will also activate new variable speed limit signs that allow the department to adjust posted speeds for safety.
Construction on the five-mile stretch began in August 2025 and is expected to be complete in 2029, according to ITD.
