GREGG COUNTY, Texas (KETK) -- Flags are being lowered to half-staff across Gregg County to honor Precinct 4 Commissioner Danny Craig Sr. who passed away on Wednesday.
According to the Craig Funeral Home, which Craig Sr. owned, he served for decades both at his church as a pastor and in the community. He was born on May 24, 1962, and passed away on Thursday, Oct. 29 at 63 years old.
"Whether comforting families through Craig Funeral Home, leading souls to Christ from the pulpit, or serving his county with dignity and fairness, his legacy of leadership and love will live on in every life he touched," Craig Funeral Home said in an announcement made on Facebook on Thursday.
Gov. Greg Abbott ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff on all Gregg County buildings and facilities until Nov. 16
