A schoolboy was rushed to hospital after suffering a horror injury this afternoon (Friday, October 31).

The 10-year-old boy was reportedly riding his bike when be lost control and hit a garden fence.

He then became 'partially impaled' on the metal railing at around 3.20pm.

Medics rushed to the scene on Wadeson Road in Liverpool and the boy was freed before being taken to hospital.

Police closed the road following the incident and asked neighbours for any relevent doorbell camera footage, Liverpool Echo reports.
