A burst water main in Longstanton has caused traffic delays. The leak started on Thursday night (October 30), near Bar Farm on the B1050, just after the roundabout linking to Northstowe Road.
Two-way traffic lights have been put in position along the B1050. A Cambridge Water spokesperson explained: "We had a four-inch burst main last night, which has now been repaired.
"We will be working over the weekend to backfill and tarmac the road. Two-way lights are in place, and we are aiming to have these removed by the end of the day on Monday 3 November."
Cambridgeshire County Council , reported mile-long delays along the B1050 southbound near Hattons Road on Friday morning (October 31). Google Maps showed slow traffic south of Bar Farm at around 3pm on Friday (October 31).
