North Carolina Department of Transportation representatives met with local city and county officials on Wednesday morning to present the potential plans for the Airport Parkway project that will create a road connecting Jake Alexander Boulevard, Peeler Road and South Main Street or U.S. 29. Feedback from the public will be welcomed at a public hearing on Nov. 5.
Eric Midkiff, a planning manager from NV5, the consulting company helping NCDOT design this project, presented the eight different alternatives for the proposed roadway.
