Crate & Barrel is recalling nearly 55,000 Ana Dining Chairs in the U.S. after reports that the legs can break, which poses a serious fall hazard. The recall also affects about 3,160 chairs sold in Canada and covers chairs sold between January 2021 and January of this year.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the chairs come in charcoal, gray, ivory, navy, gray velvet, camel velvet and olive-green velvet and carry SKU numbers located on the underside of the seat. The recall does not apply to chairs sold after January 23 of this year.

Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled chairs and contact Crate & Barrel for a free replacement and coordinated pickup of the defective product. The chairs sold for between $300 and $350 in stores and online.
