BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - A Brazos Valley organization celebrated its 30 th anniversary with a luncheon and ceremony.
Scotty’s House is a nonprofit organization serving as the child advocacy center for several counties. The organization started in 1995 after the tragic death of a young boy who was a child victim of crime.
The institution collaborates with various agencies to ensure justice for children and their families. Executive Director, Cary Baker, explained the mission behind Scotty’s House.
“We serve children and their families when there is an outcry of child abuse. So we step in, help coordinate the investigation, provide forensic interviews, and refer them for medical services, provide counseling, and family advocacy services,” Baker said.
