ANN ARBOR – In a college football landscape where coaching stability has reached a nadir, Michigan defensive backs coach LaMar Morgan always tries to remain grounded.
Since earning his first full-time coaching job with Western Carolina in 2014, Morgan hasn’t spent more than two consecutive seasons at the same school. Prior to joining the Wolverines’ staff in 2024, Morgan spent two seasons as Louisiana Lafayette’s defensive coordinator and secondary coach.
The 40-year-old Texas native is one of three Michigan assistants with previous Division I defensive coordinator experience. On Wednesday, he was asked about his desire to occupy that position again.
