The No. 7 seed Carey Panthers volleyball team registered a four-set victory, 17-25, 25-17, 25-18, 25-19 over the No. 6 Leadore Mustangs in an Idaho Class 1A state tournament elimination contest on Friday at Coeur d’Alene High School.

With the win, Carey advances to the next elimination round where it will take on the loser of Friday afternoon's match between No. 1 seed Horseshoe Bend and No. 4 seed Rockland at 8 p.m. tonight (Friday).

The No. 2 seed Genesee Bulldogs outlasted the anthers in a five-set match by a score of 22-25, 25-21, 13-25, 25-23, 15-5 in the first round of the Idaho Class 1A state volleyball tournament on Thursday at Coeur d’Alene High School.
