The clock is ticking on the scenic fall foliage across the state.

The latest report from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources states that it won’t be long before the colorful reds and oranges fully fade into browns.

“Consistently cold nights that delivered frosts and freezes throughout the Commonwealth have brought the final push of fall color to the Keystone State,” reads a post on the DCNR Facebook page.

“Oaks and beeches will hold color for a little while longer, so don’t delay in getting out to enjoy the last glimpse of the 2025 fall foliage season.”

The weekly report for Oct. 30-Nov. 5 is the last of the year from the department, and it shows a majority of the counties in the state are in the Still Nice, But Declining category.
