The federal government says its upcoming budget will include a temporary tax credit for personal support workers across Canada .

Eligible workers will have the ability to claim five per cent of their eligible earnings, which is up to $1,100 per year, for the next five years.

It will be available for provinces and territories that are not already covered by a federal bilateral agreement to increase wages for personal support workers, which means PSWs in P.E.I. will be eligible.
