SHREVEPORT, La. – Shreve Memorial Library is inviting children and teens to explore the world of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) as in celebration of National STEM Day.

There will be multiple opportunities to take part in hands-on scientific experiments, technology explorations, engineering challenges, and math applications, as well as art workshops. Programs begin on Monday, and all programs are free and open to the public. Registration may be required for some programs.

Created in 2015 by US toy manufacturer MGA Entertainment, National STEM Day is an annual event to inspire children to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math, as well as to recognize the role that science, technology, engineering, art and math play in education and childhood literacy
