HARTFORD, CT. (WFSB) - Hartford police arrested a 59-year-old man Thursday after finding him in a stolen vehicle.
Christopher Mainard of Hartford was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, third degree criminal trespass, first degree criminal trover and third degree larceny.
Officers were conducting a patrol near Franklin Avenue on October 24th when they spotted an occupied 2016 Hyundai Sonata parked in a commercial lot.
When officers approached the vehicle, they noticed the steering column showed signs of tampering consistent with a stolen vehicle. A registration check confirmed that it had been reported stolen from Hartford on October 22nd.
Mainard was arrested and transported for precessing.
