MINOT, ND (KXNET) — After an extensive self-study and an on-site evaluation, a nursing program in Minot has been reaccredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Minot State University's Department of Nursing has earned a 10-year reaccreditation.
Amy Lee, the chair of the nursing program, said the commission has several standards they look at when evaluating the program, such as NCLEX pass rate, faculty qualifications, clinical experiences, curriculum, student outcomes, and job placements.
Lee said this confirms how well their program runs, and highlights the great work from the past and where the program and students are heading in the future.
"At Minot State it's highly likely that if you're a nursing graduate here, that those graduates stay in our region," Lee said, "a
