MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Mt. Juliet Police officer has been fired after he was allegedly involved in a domestic-violence related incident at his home.
MJPD Chief Tyler Chandler said former Officer Kurt Scothern was recently involved in an alleged domestic-related incident at his home while off duty.
The incident was investigated by the Gallatin Police Department.

MJPD was notified of the incident on October 26, and Scothern was immediately decommissioned, removing all police authority, and put on unpaid administrative leave.
