RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WSMV) - A driver is facing charges after a vehicle crash involving a school bus in Rutherford County on Friday morning, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

The crash happened in the 2700 block of Shacklett Road, under I-840W just before 6:40 a.m.

THP’s preliminary report said a Ford F-250 was traveling westbound on I-840 and lost control at the Mile Marker 56. The truck flipped over the concrete wall and landed on Shacklett Road.

A school bus was traveling on Shacklett Road at the time of the crash and was hit by falling debris from the truck.

THP’s report said 19 students and the bus driver were on the bus at the time of the crash. The Ford was carrying the driver and a passenger.
